H2$ - Darren’s Debut
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, starring Darren Criss. I’m going to give you guys a play by play of what happened. First of all, the show started and I was just in so much awe and shock of even seeing him on stage and being in the same room as him and when he entered he was just so happy to be on stage and if he was nervous at all, I could never tell. It was so wonderful. He looked like he was having so much fun, he looked like such a natural and he just was so meant for Broadway. I hope he gets to do more shows, at some point in his life, whatever they may be! I love him. He was so adorable. Bowties, adorable faces, so many “Oh Blainers” moments and it was just so cute, and his smile and his voice and his songs and him singing I literally just don’t know how to respond because he was so wonderful.
Okay, intermission. I wanted to go downstairs and walk around the theater because it was pretty small and I just really loved life and wanted to experience everything. So, I walk out of the mezzanine (my seats were third row, Mezz) and there’s a line of guys waiting to go into the Men’s bathroom. Who happens to be in that line, but CHUCK CRISS!!! I asked him… “Excuse me, are you Chuck?” He said yes and I was like, “Oh my god, how proud of your brother are you?” Let me tell you guys, he was so absolutely sincere when he said “I am so proud of him, he’s doing such a wonderful job, he’s great up there and yeah, I’m really proud!” So then I let him go to the bathroom. Then I went downstairs. I totally almost fell down the stairs and it was really embarrassing but we’re moving on. Then, I went to the orchestra section, basically because I just wanted to experience the whole theater and I walked right past Brandt Cox before I knew it was Brandt Cox. I said to him “Hi Brandt Cox! How are you? Are you enjoying the show?” But then I had to keep walking… so I moved on. He was with Mia too, she brought Darren flowers and it was probably the cutest thing ever. At the stage door, Mia & Charlene went in together, it was so adorable I can’t even tell you. Then, as I’m about to go back up to my seats, I ran into none other than JOE MOSES and I went up to him and I was like “Joe Moses! How are you?!” He said he was good and stuff and he was wearing a bow tie so I was like “I love the bow tie. Very “Finch” he said yeah, I told “Darren I was wearing a bow tie and he laughed at me.” Then the lights started flicking and I was like “Okay Joe, I’ll let you get back to your seat but I just want to say that my Mom is a kindergarten teacher and she asks her students “What the devil is going on here?” every single day in the Snape voice!” He laughed hysterically and thought it was the best. Then, the second act started.
Literally, just when I thought Darren Criss couldn’t get any better, he did. Brotherhood of Man was so fantastic, everything was wonderful, I just don’t understand. I just love everything and I hope he continues to grow and succeed with this show. It’s wonderful.
Okay, Stage Door. I met Beau Bridges, Christopher Hanke and Darren Criss and every single one of them signed my playbill!!! Beau came out first, then Christopher and then Darren much much later. His friends and family went in first and did their thing with him. He came out with his hair all short and curly… jesus fucking CHRIST he is so beautiful. I literally thought I was going to explode form how fucking attractive and beautiful and wonderful he is. I don’t understand how someone can even be that beautiful. Now, at one point, Darren made everyone get quiet and he said something along the lines of Thank you guys so much for everything, from the bottom of my heart. He was so sweet and so grateful and I just love him so much!!
You wanna know anything else, just ask!!!
