Lea: I hoped we’d continue working on Broadway, but for me, television was never a possibility.
Jon: Lea would always come in with TV audition scenes and say, “Jonathan, I’m not meant to be on TV or film. It’s not who I am.”
Lea: I was just repeating the things people told me, and that was my mistake, I was always told that I was too ethnic or not pretty enough. No one believed I could cross over, but Jonathan encouraged me. And it’s because of him that I’m on Glee.
